Go to college campuses - it happens a lot. Mostly to kids whose mothers did their laundry for them. We actually had one student whose mother would drive up FOUR hours to come do her laundry every week..... it got old after her mom tried to fold our laundry.... "Thanks m'am, but don't touch my stuff...."

I thought it was just another Disney recurring theme for crazy families. I know from using a front load washing machine that the detergent you put in needs to be much less than they recommend. Try watching your laundry spin in a glass door washer you will see there is lots of soap in the clothing even when you don't add anything. I use the soap more as a deodorant than a cleaning tool. My clothing is clean and I don't ever use too much detergent.
