+579 It's so annoying when somebody got killed in a car accident and then the news reporter goes "Traffic is backed up for miles because of this." Like, somebody just lost their life, show a little respect, amirite?

And it's not annoying to leave for work, thinking you have time to get there, only to be an hour late?

They can say that in the traffic report, but I think when they're reporting on somebody's death and then start talking about traffic, it's a little disrespectful

I totally agree. You're late for work. At least you're not dead.

they can't just stop doing traffic report for the day because a person died, i mean that would make so many problems. people would complain, and they could switch to other tv channels for their traffic reports, and views would drop. it's their job.

Yeah but when they're reporting a death by car crash, do the traffic report separately. Because the way they do it, it almost seems like they're blaming it on the person.

they can't just say "oh and also there is a big traffic jam for no reason" they would talk about the reason of it no matter if it was a car crash or not, i mean they're not disrespecting them in any way, the crash WAS the reason

In the news report they should report on the death. In the traffic report they should say "Due to an earlier accident..." They shouldn't lump them together as one
