-538 I dont see why in the 6th Harry Potter movie instead of drinking the poison they dont just dump it into the water. I mean it would be easier and much less painful. Amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

because they have to, it's just the way it works.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The way the aguamenti spell's water simply leaked when they tried to fill the goblet with water for dumbledore, the potion would probably just refill itself if they dumped it out :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sorry, but I hate when people say the movies instead of the books. It was originally in the books, and the books have more. It just bugs me. Haha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I am just wondering why Harry just didnt use the water spell directely into Dumbledores mouth...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it probably would have disappeared when he tried to swallow

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thats what she said!! But doesn't just the feel of water on your tongue makes you unthirsty? or does you have to swallow to not be thirsty anymore?..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

LOL, and if anything, i think water on your tongue would make you more thirsty. or at least it does to me

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Kreacher told them how he did it, not how to do it. Kreacher did it because his master called him, and being a house elf, he automatically had to go. That obviously wouldn't work for Harry or Dumbledore. They used fire, Kreacher didn't say that. The people who knew not to drink the lake water was anyone who was by the lake, they could see the bodies when they were in the boat.

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I don't get why he wanted to give dumbledore water from a lake. that's kind of gross.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Cause he was like, begging for water, and Harry felt bad for causing him pain. Since there wasn't any other water around, he got the lake water. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

He had to.That's the way the spell works.Voldemort made it so you can't drink water from Aguamenti and have to reach in the lake so the dead corpses [Inferi] attack you and make it immposible to reach the horcrux. Wow...I'm such a nerd xD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Aren't we all tho? :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Everyones a nerd when it comes to Harry Potter :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I hate when people who have only seen the movie try and act like they know everything about it. The book says that the only way to get to the bottom was to have someone drink the potion!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

wouldn't that poison the water then? IDK, I never read Harry Potter or seen the movie.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I would just suggest reading the books cause theyre amazing and pretty much answers any questions :P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The basin the potion was in was attached, so good luck lifting and dumping it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just read the book, it's all there

by Anonymous 13 years ago

what we have here is a hrry potter noob..that is all

by Anonymous 13 years ago

the potion is just like the socerers stone . you can only pick up the potion if you choose to drink it when the sorcers stone was the other way around

by Anonymous 13 years ago

philosophers stone*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Anonymous) sorcerer's stone in America

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Someone had to drink the poison in order to be able to get to Horcrux. Duh.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

First, it's the BOOKS!!! Second, the poison is enchanted.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow these people do not take Harry Potter lightly.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Did you even read the books?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(;D): all of them multiple times it only took me a week to read all of them

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Even if they could dump it (which wasn't possible), the locket would have just fallen out into the lake.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no what i meant by dump it out is by using the shell stone cup thing to spoon the poison out as if you were to drink it but dump it out into the lake instead

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If you dump the potion in the lake, the basin will refill itself. The ONLY way to get rid of the potion was by drinking it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Mehh I bet you didn't read the books. And it wouldn't work if they dumped it, just like #338432 said. If they could I'm pretty sure Dumbledore would have thought of that...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i did read the books thank you very much and i was only making a suggestion

by Anonymous 13 years ago

man, just reading all this about water and stuff is making me thirsty

by Anonymous 13 years ago

plus, if he dumped the poison into the water, the inferi would come out. AND Voldemort prolly put a spell on it so you were NOT able to dump it in the water. Like they could not penetrate it when they did not drink it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Harry had the ability to summon Kreacher and Dobby, so why didn't they feed the potion to both house-elves?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

because harry was part of S.P.E.W

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You aren't able too, it's enchanted. Durhh(: I know this point has been made already, I'm just reinforcing it. I always wondered why Harry didn't use the Aguamenti spell straight into Dumbledore's mouth, but I guess it makes sence that Voldemort would have made it impossible to swallow. Oh, and it wouldn't be possible to dumb tyhe poisin, even if it would refill, because you still wouldn't be able to reach the "horucrux", because there is a spell preventing you from reaching down and just pickig it up.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*the *picking Oops(:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*Sighs* He cant because it wont let them. It keeps re-filling so they have to drink it. It is the only way. It says that in the book very clearly.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

you can only pick up the potion if you choose to drink it. like you can only pick up the socerers stone if you choose not to use it.
