+167 Girls don't have it worse because of boobs or tampons or having to look cute everyday. Girls have it worse than guys because girls are insecure and hold grudges. Guys don't stay angry at each other NEARLY as long as girls do. Girls can never totally let anything go. Girls are never happy with the way they look, so they become insecure. There's always one thing that they're not happy about. Amirite?

and that's what you call stereotypical kids!

Oh jeez, there's so much sexism in this post that I don't even know where to start. Is this some kind of meta-example showing how women have it harder because of misogyny? I'm going to believe that for my sanity sake. :|

*Wonders if OP is a male.* All of the stuff listed in this post is completely avoidable.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I thought that was the point...was OP saying it's girls' own faults or...?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I don't see OP saying it's girls' own faults. OP is saying that this is how it is and that there is nothing that can be done because OP compares these stereotypes to actual problems (menstrual cycle & boobs) that occur in the lives of most females. And I generally disagreed because it is impossible to gauge whether or not one gender has it worse or better. The only way to know is to live a life as a male, die, then be reincarnated back to the same life (same parents, opportunities, etc.) except this time as a female, AND once life as a female were over, you could remember both of your past lives and compare them to see who had it worse.

OK thanks I wasn't sure what they were saying.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, this is completely sexist.

Er, no, if anything, girls probably have it worse because we can't walk down the fucking street at night/alone without having to worry that we're going to be raped. Not this petty fighting shit.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

because men can walk down streets alone at night without worrying at all?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

In most situations, yes. But I meant alone and at night to be separate statements. Generally, women can't even walk in populated areas (i.e. cities) alone during the day without the fear of being raped.

Where the fuck do you live?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I dunno about you, but I'm a girl and I cross dress and hide my hair when I go to a dangerous area.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think girls and boys have it equally bad. We're both constrained by these stupid stereotypes of what a man should be and what a women should be.

I was going to leave a really angry comment, but I'm way too insecure about the reception. I'm just going to keep my hatred for this post all bottled up and hold on to it for forever. Also, I seriously need some mascara right now.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

This is insanely misogynistic. If you're a male OP, fuck you. And if you're a female, fuck you even more.

Only thing, beside the painful stuff, that I don't really like about being a girl is that we do kind of judge and stare at other girls and are super critical. I was talking with a friend the other day and we realized that we don't even realize that we are intently staring meanly at some girl and they are doing the same to us. And if you see a girl your age you sometimes avoid them to avoid the judgement. It seems like when you're not meeting the girl, just seeing her in public, that you aren't nice to each other...I don't even know what I'm rambling about anymore...
