+492 most people don't know the difference between pro choice and pro abortion, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, being pro-choice is saying that you think the mother should have the right to choose whether or not she wants to keep the baby, correct? And being pro-abortion is being totally okay with killing the baby. Either way you're saying that it's okay to kill that child; i.e. murdering a human being. And you're okay with that? Wow.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Being pro-choice is not wrong. It should not be up to anyone other than the mother (and the father, if he's involved) if she keeps the child or not. If she knows she can't afford to keep the child, it would not be fair to her OR the baby to keep it. Also, if you have an abortion within the first 4 weeks of pregnancy, the 'baby' feels nothing. It's not even a baby yet, it's a fetus.

Why do people care so much about other people's life? It's not your child, it's not you choice. If you are against abortion, don't get into the situation where it's needed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

it's still murder. why should somebody have the choice to kill a human being, just because they haven't had the chance to grow into a fully developed being?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Like I said, it isn't your life. Anti-abortion supporters should just not get into the situation where abortion is needed.

Well, pro life is keeping the baby at any cost. Is it really fair to make a woman who was raped have the child? Is it fair to let a 13 year old have a child when she know she can't take care of it? If someone has health problems and they can't have a child but the condom accidentally breaks, are people gonna say she can't have sex in the first place? That's not fair for her. That is pro choice.

Being pro-abortion means that you think every woman (including yourself, if you're female) should get an abortion if they were put in a situation where abortion would be a legitimate option. Being pro-choice means that you may or may not believe that abortion is a good choice, but you understand that different people have different opinions, and what a woman does with her baby is her decision, not yours. Many pro-choice people are opposed to abortion, but still think women should have the right to choose abortion if they think that's what's right for them.

It may be true that people don't know the difference, but either way its acceptance of killing a life

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People who say abortion is killing a life are retarded. If it was a life it would be able to live right then and there instead of having to wait 9 months. If you believe its killing potential life then the next time you ovulate you must get pregnant because you let a life die if you dont and guys must save all their sperm.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Uhm, no. Abortion IS killing a life. You live in your mothers's womb for 9 months so you can develop properly. And no, every time you ovulate wouldn't be killing a life because it hasn't been fertilized by a sperm yet. And for all of those saying the mother should be able to choose what to do with her own body, yes she should, however, we're not dealing with her body, she's not the one dieing here, the baby is. Even when the baby is in the Fetal phase it's still human life. IN the words of Dr. Suess, "A person is a person no matter how small."

So, let's say that you are 13 years old. You made a mistake and you're pregnant. You're going to go through with the pregnancy and have the baby even though your body is still developing and you're in school all day?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You stay in school as long as you feel fit and then when the baby comes you can put him or her up for adoption. Just because she isn't ready for a baby doesn't mean that some couple who may not be able to have children aren't ready for a child.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So let's say you're 11 and just starting your period, and you are raped. Your body is severly underdeveloped and not to carry a child. You have school, friends, homework, etc. and you still think that CHILD should have a baby? Not only can the baby be defected, but the mother of that child will not be PHYSICALLY fit to have that baby. THAT'S why I'm pro-choice. If an 18 year-old decided to have unprotected sex and gets pregnant, that IS NOT an option for an abortion.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If she is raped that is a horrible and very traumatic incident. Having an abortion can be just as traumatic. Also, if her body is developed enough to have her period, it's developed enough for a baby. I'm pro-life because I'm not for killing a baby just because the mother doesn't want it, not ready, or thinks the baby will be under developed or whatever. It's still life and nothing you or anyone else says is going to sway me to agree that murder is okay.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think that you never truly know your views on abortion until you've been put into the situation. (Rape, health, etc.)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I agree.

so true

Pro-choice for me. A poor family has a young daughter who just turned 12. She is walking home from school with a friend when suddenly, a man knocks her out. She is woken with this man punching her and hurting her. He rapes her with all of his strength. POUND POUND POUND. You are this young girl. Hurt, finacially incapable of taking care of even yourself, and also not physically fit or developed. Do you go through with having a baby? You sick bastards who say yes to this is unbelievable... This poor girl cannot be put up through child labor, she hardly stands 4 feet.. (This is a made up girl) and you expect her to have this child, when she too is a child? And you suggest putting it up for adoption? Think about this as if you were her.. You'd DIE going through labor.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well if your injured that badly your body will be in too much shock to b pregnant

by Anonymous 13 years ago

pro-choice. Do not agree with abortion Except in extreme cases. Do not think the government should get involved. I was the size of a 10 yr old when I was 15 and I was raped. If I had become pregnant I would have had an abortion, otherwise it would have killed both the baby and I. I also had a friend who after 3 kids became pregnant, but it was a tubal pregnancie. Both would have died if she had not had an abortion. Pro-choice.
