No, we are not evolved from apes. We are evolved from a common ancestor, Ardipithecus or Australopithecus Afarensis, if I remember correctly.

Actually, Ardipithecus ramidus and Australopithecus afarensis are both part of the human lineage. The "missing link" between humans and apes has yet to be discovered.

Maybe humans and monkeys would team up and overthrow the apes and we`d take back the planet like that. But through evolution, no, not at all.
