+459 No, I am not poor just because I buy $10 clothes, while you buy $100 dollar clothes. I am just a smart shopper, amirite?

With $90 extra dollars.

Isn't it really more a matter of quality? Sure the $10 clothes seem cheaper now, but they are probably made from cheaper materials. If you wear the $10 clothes as often as you would have worn the $100 clothes, the $10 clothes are more likely to wear out more quickly or be comparably less comfortable. Then you'd have to buy more clothes to compensate for the lack of durability or comfort.

If you shop smart, it doesn't matter where you get clothes. I get fifty dollar jeans for twenty dollars or less at American Eagle, shirts for like five dollars. Shop clearance, get discount cards and coupons. You get quality without paying for the markup. And cheap clothing isn't necessarily of lesser quality. I have shirts I bought for ten dollars that have lasted me years. It's all about how you wash your clothes and take care of them.

I refuse to pay full price for anything. All of my shirts cost under $20 and all of my jeans and hoodies were $30, and they've lasted a long time. I also find that more expensive clothes seem slightly more gossamer because that's the current trend.

When you shop at thrift stores it is cheaper and often designer lables you wouldn't be able to afford normally. The biggest problem is the size will usually be the size of the people around your town. I can often but children's clothing because everything is giant size and I am not big at all. Saving money is a happy thing
