There are too many people who are just too stupid to be helped by college (e.g. GWB). Making college mandatory for such people would just be a waste of resources and result in dumbing down the curriculum even further.

We need stupid people to do stupid jobs. I don't know about you, but I like McDonald's, and custodial staff, and the people who work at movie theatres, and all the other people who would have a chance to be successful if they had attended college.

If they make it free then it shouldn't be mandatory just easier to access because we need people to do the little things. But at the same time if a single working with 2 jobs mom wants a better life then they could get it more easily
