-88 It's kinda awkward that so many believe in christianity after 2000 years and there is absolutely NO proof at all of this "God", amirite?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

God is a state of mind.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

(Graveyard Waitress): shut up

by Anonymous 14 years ago

You shut up, dude. No need to overreact. What if god is a state of mind? How tf do you know?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

how can 'a state of mind' create the universe and be worthy of worship?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

The answer to that is easy: How can we expect to comprehend a divine being? Therefore it could be true.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Of course there is - he's Chuck Norris!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

there is historical evidence of Jesus and his miracles he preformed in Gods name

by Anonymous 14 years ago

what is the evidence?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

ill reply with another question: whats the evidence that Julius Ceasar existed? He lived the same time as Jesus

by Anonymous 14 years ago

hey, I wasn't attacking, I just asked a question which you claimed to have the answer for. But clearly you don't.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Sorry if i came across defensive; history books, the bible for one, basic historical records, im sure you could search around and find alot

by Anonymous 14 years ago

The bible is not a "history book". History books contain facts and theories agreed upon by a multitude of historians. The bible is no different then the mythology of the Greeks and Romans. While both contain references to historical figures and sites, they are lined with wise tales from different people.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why do you answer a question with a question? do you even have evidence about jesus and his miracles?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

do you have any evidence about Julius Ceasar and what he did? They lived around the same time, so the stuff you learn about him in social studies class is every but as legit as historical teachings of Jesus.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

There's a huge difference between denying the existence, teachings, and crucifixion of Christ (which are clearly supported by Roman census records etc., and which no serious historian would attempt to deny) vs. denying his divinity, which is only supported by scriptures written at least 35 years and as much as 100 years after his death (they were passed down by word of mouth before that time, and we all know how reliable transferring information that way is), and which were written by people whose express purpose was spreading a new religion rather than necessarily getting the facts straight.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

The difference lies in the "miracle" part, not so much "Was he alive"

by Anonymous 14 years ago

you're WRONG.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

How is it awkward?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I was going to ask that.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

For those who have faith, no proof is needed. For those without faith, not enough proof can be given.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

agreed

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I totally agree with you.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I think it's a quote, but I can't remember who said it.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

lolssss u guys so indoctrinated :)

by Anonymous 14 years ago

def agree.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

"Science has proof without any certainty; Creationists have certainty without any proof"

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Touche

by Anonymous 14 years ago

DO NOT FEED THE TROLL.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

It's not trolling to express an unpopular opinion that you sincerely hold. Trolling is posting something deliberately inflammatory for the sole purpose of exploiting the gullibility of the reader.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

well, all this information is pre-historical, there is no record of any prayers answered or miracles performed by any wise old thing named "God", yes, maybe I don't have enough faith to believe in christianity, but I have faith to believe in science and humanity, it's making progress and making alot more sense than christianty ever has, amen to that!

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I am with the "NO WAYS", and anyone who is telling us there is no god is insulting our beliefs. I hope you "YEAH YOU ARES" feel quite proud of yourselves.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Even if they don't agree with us, they're entitled to their opinion.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Thank you. I have no religion whatsoever, but agree with your statement. "To each his own", I suppose.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Amusingly, I've become atheist since I first made this comment.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Why are you targeting Christianity? Would you say the same thing to a Muslim?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

my bad, all religions sounds kinda "jibberish" to me, but according to amirite.net, people do not agree with my tought, so I guess im wrong

by Anonymous 14 years ago

If yall dont believe in God then thats yall problem, cuz in the end you'll be the ones suffering with what GOD, does to you. Dont believe in him, But in the end you should of, and God will come when its time for him to come.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

It's "should have" not "should of", and I think non-Christians are sick of hearing all this fire and brimstone stuff. If you want to represent Christianity well, then just be a good person. No one can argue with that, and it's the very thing that Jesus tells us to do. "A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; even as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." John 13 34-35

by Anonymous 14 years ago

I totally agree. I hate how Christianity is marred by how a some over-zealous and irrational Christians act. As Christians, we're supposed to represent how Christ loves us and can forgive us of any sins . . . not focusing on hell and making it sound like blackmail.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

God loves me more then anything, but I'm going to hell forever? Stop it, now please. I don't want to hear you talking about how I'm going to burn in hell. You are entitled to your own opinion but saying that is just idiotic.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

True, very awkward. 1+

by Anonymous 14 years ago

religion is in itself beautiful. Maybe when taking to the extreme it can get ridiculous, but to follow the true teaching of Jesus, Mohammed, Abbraham, Buddha, etc, you are simply following a basic way of good life. Love others as you love yourself, respect creation and your fellow man, and commit no acts of evil. You might say that people take it to an extreme but anything taken to far is just wrong. Video games, sexual acts, food, activity, tanning, etc. to understand it at its basis means to follow it correctly. We are all entiled to our opinions, but some are made for hurtful purposes, other out of ignorance, but they allm ake up who we are as people.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

You must remember that the belief in God is far greater than proof. Faith is powerful and you shouldn't try break it down into an exact science. Depending on your opinions everyone will have a different explanation. To live without faith of any kind is sort of sad when you think about it. Let science and faith coexist...They don't have to be two separate entities.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Uh . . . pie anyone?

by Anonymous 14 years ago

God is real, just know that.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

...awkward? Is that the right word?? Note that i have not put forward any religious opinions. don't shoot

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Hrmm I think awkward is a good word. Because you just kinda feel bad for them, its awkward if that makes any sense.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

Actually, I just think that the person who wrote this post didn't want to be murdered for putting something like 'stupid' or 'idiotic' in that spot, and from the way this post was written it kinda seems like thats what they were thinking.

by Anonymous 14 years ago

the person who wrote this has absolutely no understanding of Christianity :( first of all, the reason we believe im God is the reason people believe in the wind or gravity. you can't see them, but you can feel it. Second, God being real would explain why there is disease, poverty, starvation, corruption, death, and basically all other evils in the world. that's all in Genesis Furthermore, have most of you athiests even read the bible? there are countless foreseeings of the future of Jesus Christ and all that. God does love all humans, and though he merciful, he is righteous and just. if you don't accept Jesus Christ, you will be punished for your sins in an eternity of hell. To Christians that say that sharing the gospel is bad because it offends people: let's say you have cancer. luckily, scientist have recently found a cure for cancer and you are cured. wouldn't you want to share this good news with everyone? the 'cancer' is hell and the cure is the gospel-if you ...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's the same thing with evolution, no absolute PROOF, just some evidence

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ok I'm sorry but can the Atheist leave the believers alone and can the believers leave the Atheists alone? Plus why is Christianity only mentioned all the time? I'm a Muslim and I bet you can find a bunch of other Muslims on this site if you looked hard enough, considering it is the second largest and fastest growing religion in the world...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

if it required proof there would be no place for faith. it's not absurd at all. and besides. while there is no "proof," there is uncanny amounts of evidence that what the Bible says is true. and what of the argument of contingency? and degree?
