i think its the other way around! dentists always ask the patients questions AFTER they have their hands in our mouths!

I belive you mean "HI, I'm the dentist. Please wait to answer my questions about your life AFTER my hands are OUT OF your mouth. amirite?" Otherwise you'd be asking them to wait to answer until you put your hands in their mouth and I'm sure you don't want that.
