It's possible to believe that Jesus existed without believing in God, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
people who aren't religious don't think that Jesus didn't exist, they just don't seem him as a messiah

Thats cuz theres historical and physical proof he existed. Anyone who thinks otherwise is a moron. The only debatable factor is whether or not he was in fact the son of god. And even then its not worth debating because there isnt enough proof on either side

I agree, I for one am a catholic (but don't like to be) and I call him jebus, BUUUUUUUUUUUUT there is little proof he's the "messiah" or "son of god".

How are you Catholic and not like to be Catholic? Being Catholic is a choice.

he/she was probably born catholic but doesnt really practice it. or, they were born catholic and realized that what they were being taught didn't make much sense and they're looking to choose a new religion.

Most people who are catholic are baptized at birth, in other words, their parents made the choice. Not them.

It's possible to believe anything if you try hard enough.

Conjecture and opinion based on little bits and peices of so called fact. Jesus was a good speaker and a smart hardworking man. Nothing more can be proven by scientific FACT.

Jesus couldn't have been "just a good man" and not the Son of God. He repeatedly says He IS the Son of God; how can He be a good man if He was lying? Good men don't lie. So! He was either crazy, or He actually is the Son of God. Personally, I believe the latter <3

There's no "proof" jesus actually existed, other than the theory that 12 men who were proven to exist wouldn't just go and die for something or someone they didn't believe in. But even that's no excuse to call someone real. And in regards to being the "messiah" is a complete leap of faith, no one can prove that Jesus will save them from anything.
Although I've said this, I firmly believe in Jesus' existence, and that he is the messiah. But that's why it's called a "belief," or "faith" because I believe without the need of factual evidence that he is real and everything I know him to be.
