-18 Everyone shouldn't get so upset that Arizona is enforcing a law that has been in the books for decades. amirite?

The 'reason' they're trying to 'enforce' these laws is because Jan Brewer is saying that she wants there to be less drug dealing and kidnapps and things like that, as if just because you're illegal it makes you some kind of criminal!? yes, they broke law to get into this land, which was Taken from them! And most of Mexico just come here to Work and Support their Family from where they came from and here in the US. Most of the drug cases come because of people born here! What they SHOULD be doing is trying to find ways to get the REAL Criminals!

Your random capitalization and lack of punctuation makes it so hard to understand what you mean.

Most of the drug cases come from people who are born here? Sorry, but I'm close to the boarder and 85% of my weed dealers have been Mexican. And yes, doing something illegal, like coming to the country illegally, makes you a criminal. Yes, because worrying about there being illegals here means that no one is trying to find "real" criminals. Do you have any idea how much them being here costs us, or are you just one of those "They are people and it's all land it was theirs blah blah blah doesn't actually look into the statistic or cause and effect of any of it" kind of person? Let me inform you: taxpayers pay $1.3 billion per year for education, medical care and incarceration, just in Arizona. (@Catinthehat) I Know that they're breaking the law by entering the US illegaly! And i never said it was against Mexicans! I just stated the Fact that Arizona was Taken From Mexico! And actually that 'Large' portion of immigrants isn't as Large as you think if you look at the Stats, you would know that!

Yes, it was taken from Mexico.. nearly 200 years ago through war. Since then, we have made that area a part of OUR country. If they want to be a part of our country, they should do it legally.

No-one still lives who feels the effect of the grievance.

Why is this getting downvoted? If someone wants to live here, I'm all for it. But for the love of God, do it legally. I have to pay taxes to live here, and so should they.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Oh. My. Gosh. SB 1070 made it illegal to be in Arizona illegally?! How could they?!

by Anonymous 12 years ago

The United States is a country made up immigrants. Unless you are Native American, I believe you're an immigrant too. You may be a naturally born citizen but if you look closer at your family tree, there must be someone ( may be your great-great-great-great grandmother) who was not born in the United States - which means you are an immigrant as well because you're not living in the land your ancestors are from.

So what? If you were born here you're a citizen. If you come illegally you aren't, so it's not fair to the real citizens who pay to live here. If we let anyone come and live here and not pay taxes that would be stupid

So what? It's ILLEGAL. IT COSTS BILLIONS OF $$$$ COMING OUT OF TAXPAYERS POCKETS, WHO ARE ALSO SOME KIND OF IMMIGRANT, BUT WHO DID IT * LEGALLY*. It's unfair to them.
