+143 People who wear XXL size clothes should be spending more money than if it was an XS, amirite?

So true. I mean, I have nothing against obese people, but they're using more fabric and material. Therefore, it should be worth more! But just imagine all the arguments that would cause x.X

I know in some places they do. A lot of online shops charge more, partly because of shipping costs. XD

I WROTE AN ENTIRE PAPER ON THIS. YES. But I found out (I don't know if it's true. I didn't try too hard on this paper) that a company orders so much fabric to make the shirt or whatever, and then make the clothes, and divide the cost of the fabric evenly between them? something like that. Although I say if you used more fabric, I am not paying for your dang shirt. And if your clothes are more expensive, you'll have even more motivation to lose weight.

I was agreeing with you until the last sentence.

Why? What is your opinion on it? Just curious

Mostly because it's not just about people that are too fat, some people need more fabric because of their lenght, too. I also think that some people that are overweight (or not yet, but a bit more chubby) are still happy with who they are and what they look like, as long as they are still healthy. We as a society shouldn't tell people what to like and dislike about themselves, if they are happy with who they are, I don't think they need us telling them they shouldn't. I do think it's a good idea. Generally for women bra's in bigger sizes are already a lot more expensive than the general sizes, my mother has to pay about twice as much as I do for a good bra. A lot of economies have a general setup like this for most products, you pay for what you use, so if you use less fabric, you pay less than someone who uses more fabric. If you were to make your own clothes, it would cost you more to buy the fabric aswell because you need more. I do think we'll get an uprise in short skirts and hotpants if this would go through ;)

So should tall people pay more money for their clothes? They're using more fabric as well, especially for trousers.

I've actually seen that happen. At Target, the XXL were about 3 dollars more.

I don't know about men, but it's a proven fact that skinny women get hired for the better jobs, on average, and get paid better than heavier women. So how would they pay for larger-sized clothes? Yes, they would have to lose weight, but in the meantime they can't walk around naked. And the heavier you are, the more weight you'd have to lose and the longer it might take to lose it. And you might not be able to afford a professional gym or trainer since you have to pay more for clothes, which means dieting and exercising on your own might take even longer....it's altogether not the best idea.
