+277 I'd hate to be a defense lawyer for dumb cases. Like, if someone decided to sue a restaurant for a thumb being in their food, even though it's their own thumb, like, what would you do? amirite?

Lawyers don't have to agree/disagree with the case, as long as they have more of a "show" then the other lawyer, they're set.

Apparently, lawyers will occasionally get assigned to a criminal by the government that they are legally required to defend. This happened to my dad and he got stuck with a crazy woman who obviously guilty, and he wasn't sure what to do.
