+378 Windows Vista was a bizarre suicidal move that may be recalled by future generations as "Hasta la Vista, Microsoft". amirite?

It was buggy and unstable when it was released until Microsoft offered service packs/updates to improve it. It was released at a bad time from a business perspective , causing Microsoft to sell less copies than what they would've sold. Many machines with a "Vista compatible" sticker were only able to run Vista without any features , and people tried to run it with all of the features. It's possible for security to be too tight. Frequently you have to confirm you don't have a pirated OS.
