It wouldn't have maid sense since the 4th-6th movies came out first where Luke and Leia were already born, so they were forced to have them in the 3rd movie or else the time line wouldn't have maid sense.

Yeah since they have super futuristic technology, you'd think they would've easily been able to stop her from getting pregnant. Same goes for dying in childbirh.
