Whenever you try to say 'horror' it comes out sounding like 'whore', amirite?
by Anonymous11 years ago
No because I'm not an American prick and I can pronounce words properly.

Damn, who shot you in the balls today?

My seven year old sister called me a whore after I beat her in a game of Monopoly Junior. My dad and I just assumed she was saying horror, but she promptly corrected us. She was saying whore... O-O

Only if you are from the South.

I say it like whore-er. I wonder sometimes if people just think I'm saying whore

American problems.
With a South African accent it sounds like it's supposed to, like "horra", with the o-sound being like the o-sound in "on", not like the o-sound in "or".

I say it like har-rer. Where I'm from most people say whore-er, though.

I'm from Rhode Island, so I know quite a few people that say "har-rah"

Whore-er. Darn Southern roots...

I've been made fun of this for long! I thought it was just my Californian accent.
This one time I was talking about the horror house in Universal and some boy overheard and he's like, "You went where?!"
It was so embarrassing.
I have to use "scare house" now.
