is it really? cuz i actually thought of it just now.

that's why you're supposed to search your posts before

by Anonymous 13 years ago

technically, it isn't a repeat. Girlfriend is used as the subject, whereas in the other two posts, You Belong With Me is the subject.

http://www.amirite.net/64731 this is what they're talking about

New people do come to the website like everyday and they haven't read all the posts you have. I don't see why everyone has to make a big deal outta repeats. I mean if there are like 6 that are all exactly the same then I understand but just one that is just similar is ok.

no its more like a rip-off the 1979 song "i wanna be your boyfriend" by the rubinoos...

Why aren't there more No Ways? Girlfriend came first! Also, lol. Girlfriend came first.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why does the timing matter? It's the same kind of message in both songs.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because "Love Story" is a LESS assertive version of "Girlfriend" not the other way around.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's true. But it's semantics.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And we're not talking about Love Story, the song in question is called You Belong With Me.
