The only bad thing about vegetarians is that they put up such good arguments, amirite?
by Anonymous13 years ago
No they dont.
by Anonymous13 years ago
First off, no.
Second, the worst thing about them is that most are pretentious dicks, who think they're better because they eat different food.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Um..I dont act like that, dont group us all together like that.
by Anonymous13 years ago
I didn't group you all together. I said most. The word most means that a lot do, but there are plenty that don't. If i had lumped you together, i would have said all. All means each and every one. My point stands. Most do.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ah, sorry I read it too fast and missed the word most. My bad.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Most AREN'T pretentious dicks, who think they're better because they eat different food.

People wouldn't be portrayed the way they are if there wasn't truth in the portrayal.
by Anonymous13 years ago
yeah i dont think that's anyone but PETA
by Anonymous13 years ago
why does everyone only focus on the crazy things peta does? Am the only one who hears about all the good they do?
by Anonymous13 years ago
i know they do good things! the crazy way they go about it just kiindd of really freaks me out
by Anonymous13 years ago
Ha well not everything they do is crazy, I mean the outrage over certain things is unnecessary but for others things they do it very professionally and it gets the job done.
by Anonymous13 years ago
true. have you seen the southpark episode making fun of them?
while i think that non-vegetarians are sometimes a little more harsh than vegetarians themselves, i also think that not eating meat because it's killing and animal is pretty stupid. someone else will eat it if you don't. it's very hard to survive without some kind of meat in your diet.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Um first of all wow. its not stupid. Second, not eating meat is healthier than eating meat is.
by Anonymous13 years ago
i guess you know if you gain some sort of empowerment because you're saving animal lives, whatever, but you you should just know that it's not actually saving lives.
just because vegetarians eat mainly vegetables and fruit doesnt mean they're being healthier than people who eat meat. we're omnivores and our body needs it. to deny your body meat based on the above logic isn't good for you.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Actually yes it is, by going vegetarian you save on average 100 lives a year. Its simple economics, there's less demand for the meat therefore they slaughter fewer animals. And actually, I have done a lot of research on vegetarianism and it is by far way healthier than eating meat is. Its also better for than environment.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Actually meat can get you much more protein and in smaller servings then a lot of vegetables. But I understand you're talking about cholestrol and all that
by Anonymous13 years ago
If you eat meat in the right proportions it's healthier than not eating meat. The main arguments for vegetarianism (in my opinion) is that it is friendly to the environment and that it provides more food. But personally I don't think vegetarianism alone is the answer (for health and culinary reasons) I think we should try to make
*everyone* eat less meat, even though that may be harder to achieve.
by Anonymous13 years ago
If many vegetarians have lived lives just as long as non-vegetarians, it's obviously pretty easy to survive.
Meat isn't the only type of food to supply protein and such.
by Anonymous13 years ago
Actualy vegetarians/vegans generally live longer than meat eaters
by Anonymous13 years ago
Well, they've never been able to convince me to stop eating meat, so I guess their arguments can't be that great!
by Anonymous13 years ago
IMO... A lot of their logic is flawed
by Anonymous13 years ago
none of the vegetarians I know are like this and I know a good handful of them.
