+739 Girls: Female authors should just write a disclaimer that says, "The boys depicted in this book are not based on any male and you will never find them.", amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

uhh... what about female biographers?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They do have a disclaimer; in several places on the book, it says "fiction".

^^ My bestie is so smart. The first commentor is right as well; you should've said "novelists", to be more precise.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Or the fact not all female authors make 'ohh sparkly perfect wonderboy' or 'ideal man' characters either.

I agree--almost said yes, except for that. Men have written crappy romances too (though they are rarer; sorry, no examples off the top of my head) and not all women write them.

I wish they wrote the same thing in hustler about women...;P

Not to mention, if youre looking for a knight in shining armor, you killed them a long time ago. Thank womens tights movement for that. I'm all about equality in sexes, but don't act like hood guys disappeared, it's that douche bags always win. And when other guys see that, what's the point in being nice.

Womens rights, fucking iPhone.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And good, dammit.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Women's rights has nothing to do with nice or not-nice guys.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That is true, I guess I meant more of the femenists and the women who say they don't need men. Those are the people who make us nicer guys want to be ass holes because thats the kind of guys we always see with women. Looking at that it did seem quite rude sounding.

Ah, I get what you're saying--and I agree. Some "hardcore" feminists are a bit insane, considering that they seem to think that if a man is nice to them that they're trying to "take control over them" or something odd like that...it's really weird. And loads of girls complain about guys being jerks, but they don't even bother looking for nice ones because they're so hooked on complaining about the mean ones, and then they end up dating creeps... which makes no sense at all...soI get what you're saying. :)

I think it's because in books, when we imagine the character we imagine him as to be the perfect guy and any flaws he has compared to the rest of his perfectness...like he's sweet cute mysterious and kind, but ya know we're both spies and never get to see each other and some people he knows are trying to kill me(zach from gallagher girls)
