Everyone who doesn't live in America, is really jealous of the food they have over there, amirite?
by Anonymous12 years ago
LOL. All Americans eat is hamburgers and thick greasy pizza all with 90%-sugar drinks and 99%-sugar candy. I KNOW from experience.
by Anonymous12 years ago
You know, not ALL of us eat that shit. Healthy food DOES exist here believe it or not.
by Anonymous12 years ago
No, I didnt mean "All Americans" as in all of them, I meant all they EAT is that stuff.
As in, an exaggeration.
by Anonymous12 years ago
ya the gourmet mcdonald's happy meals.........greasy pizza and hamuburgers......yumm
by Anonymous12 years ago
Lol I like how "American food is terrible" gets infinite upvotes, but me describing eactly HOW it's terrible gets NO WAY x1000.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Because seven is infinite, and eleven is 1,000
by Anonymous12 years ago
It's actually 18 not 11, and something else not 7. Since we're counting total votes.
by Anonymous12 years ago
We have great food? We have variety, we eat chinese and mexican and french and italian and japanese. American is just junk food and burgers.
by Anonymous12 years ago
American food is terrible.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Well American food has already spread.. There are McDonalds' everywhereee.
by Anonymous12 years ago
lolno. Everything tastes like... fried. :-/
by Anonymous12 years ago
You should come to the South. We fry Twinkies here.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Is there anything you guys don't fry?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Not really. If you can think of it, someone has probably tried to fry it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yeah. Why live in France or Italy or China and have their amazing food, when I can live in America and eat sugar and fat and food coloring?!
by Anonymous12 years ago
We have /fried koolaid/. can't beat that!!
jk I'm gonna go vomit at the thought of it.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I hate how practically everything here is fried! It's nasty.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Fried twinkies, oreos, devil dogs, ice cream, cheese...
And now koolaid. Have you seen the video? It's disgusting.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Fried oreos are delicious. As for the others.. =/
by Anonymous12 years ago
I haven't had fried oreos... D:
I did have fried ice cream, though, at an authentic Mexican restaurant. It was like a coconut topping. Wasn't that bad.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Fried oreos are probably one of the best things I've ever tasted. They're like these soft oreos inside a warm powdered donut and when you eat them after just being made and they're still hot... hold on... I need a minute...
by Anonymous12 years ago
there is no such thing as an AUTHENTIC mexican restaurant in America.
by Anonymous12 years ago
No, this one's authentic.
I don't know how to say this without sounding slightly racist but- it's owned by Mexicans that were actually born and raised in Mexico.
by Anonymous12 years ago
alright, they probably use old recipes and classic ingredients, but i doubt they make everything from scratch or grow their own vegetables to be 100% authentic. Not that it matters anyway, just sayin :P
by Anonymous12 years ago
Really? Cuz all the Mexican places here are run by Spanish speaking people. Could be cuz I live in Arizona right next the Mexico. But all our Chinese places are run by only Chinese people who speak Chinese too so...
by Anonymous12 years ago
it's a restaurant and they need to do things more efficiently. To make truly authentic food, they would have to use freshly grown ingredients and make everything from scratch, which would take hours. They can't spend two or three hours making one dish at a time, so they use traditional recipes with processed ingredients.
by Anonymous12 years ago
No... I'm pretty sure people who are just regular cooks in China don't have to do that for it to be "authentic".
by Anonymous12 years ago
they might not even speak chinese. this italian restaurant my friend worked at, 2. all the staff had to put on italian accents to improve "authenticity". also, its like chicken tika and balti, they're "indian" but were created in britain.
by Anonymous12 years ago
fried KOOLAID?!?!?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yep. Fried koolaid.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I don't even...
I heard of fried ice cream, but how DO YOU EAT FRIED KOOLAID!?!
Is it like having colorful oil swish around in your mouth?
by Anonymous12 years ago
I had fried Oreos once and they actually weren't terrible. Apparently there's fried Cocacola, too...
I haven't seen the video... d'you have a link?
by Anonymous12 years ago
This is a VERY sarcastic YYA. -.-
I assure you no one is jealous of our food. No one.
... Well, maybe starving children. But no one else.
by Anonymous12 years ago
LIES! Everybody loves French fries and apple pie.
by Anonymous12 years ago
What do we have have? ... Burgers? Please. A lot of our food comes from other countries, but most of it doesn't even taste the same.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I'd rather not eat a cardboard container of grease (fast-food, fatty pizza, etc.).
by Anonymous12 years ago
Everyone is talking about all the fried food, but I really don't think it's that prominent. Maybe I'm just living in a good part of the US?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Good Lord, where in America are you?? I must move there. It's rare for half the restaurants here to serve anything that's NOT fried!
by Anonymous12 years ago
I get tired of the usual raw fish that I catch with my own beak.
by Anonymous12 years ago
I do agree that other countries do have some amazing food that is much better than a lot of ours, but America DOES have good restaurants and food as well. Yeah there's a lot of fast food, a lot of junk food, and a lot of friend food, but not every single thing here is complete crap. I mean, I've been to tons of AMAZING steak houses and places for seafood. And honestly, sometimes nothing beats a really good cheeseburger or hot dog. Sure, different cultures have a lot of great food, but I cant complain about the stuff I've experienced here.
by Anonymous12 years ago
American food isn't just hamburgers and hotdogs either. It's clam chowder, apple pie, pastrami, BBQ ribs, corn on the cob, baked beans, potato salad, roast beef, salad, pancakes, eggs, BACON, asparugus, mashed potatoes, grits. All sorts of yummy stuff.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Oh I totally agree! The list is honestly endless.
by Anonymous12 years ago
bacon? since when was bacon american? and salad? mashed potatoes? eggs?!?! wth? you really think americans were the first country to think of all these things? i get that BBQ is anerican and like jambalya (or however its spelt) but really?
by Anonymous12 years ago
Also, pastrami is Romanian, apple pie is from England and a whole host of the other foods you mentioned belong to no country in particular.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Apple pie is THE OFFICIAL FOOD of America. Chinese people use eggs but that doesn't mean egg's are chinese. The way we prepare out eggs is what makes them American.
by Anonymous12 years ago
Yeah, because it was brought over by the English. I'm not denying that but it doesn't change the fact that eggs belong to the Americans as much as they do to anywhere else.
by Anonymous12 years ago
The scrambled egg and the fried egg is an American food. Eggs themself are not, it's how you prepare it. Noodles could be Italian or Chinese, depending on how they're prepared.
by Anonymous12 years ago
friend food?
by Anonymous12 years ago
hahaha oops. That was supposed to say "fried food"
by Anonymous12 years ago
We have some good food in certain parts of the country. But as a whole, we are definitely not the cuisine capital of the world. Who cares though? I'd say at least we get immigrants from all around the world and are very diverse, but some people are not very appreciative of immigrants... so I wont (yes I will).
by Anonymous12 years ago
Wow, ok, never realized there were so many healthy people on this site. Thank god for high metabolisms so i don't have to worry about that. But honestly, the only thing im jealous about America is whataburger and RECALLING VANILA COKE FROM CANADA D:<
