There's potential for irony. Technically, the pro-lifers could be throwing fertilized eggs at the abortion clinic. And he said "a little ironic". Yes, even though they are unfertilized eggs, that is "a little ironic". And seriously, it's a joke.

yeah, i agree, if you are going to try and make a joke, supposedly one that requires some intelligence in order for the person to get it, make sure the logic stands up. Most eggs that are sold are unfertilised so there is no irony in people throwing them at an abortion clinic. And (this is not really the point, but) I doubt very much that pro-life anti-abortionists would be throwing fertilised eggs anyway. Just sayin...

Im not going to get all technical with the eggs being fertilized or not. I think regardless, they should not be throwing eggs at a clinic, OR people entering the clinic. It is very disrespectful to those individuals, esp. when you dont know what they've been through. i heard about a rape victim being harassed like that outside of a clinic and it made me so mad, how can someone do that to a stranger? It makes me wanna be a protester thats protesting the pro-lifers outside the clinic. While they throw eggs, I can throw eggs at them and protect the women entering
