+377 Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all founded on the same basic principals.. why is it so hard to get along? amirite?

Because there is conflict between Jews and Muslims about who gets the holy land but, that's pretty much extreme Muslims and Jews

i blame it on colonialism

Blacks, white, Asian, Mexican. Why is it so hard to get along in any case? It's all just extremists.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Extremists. People who follow their religion well though would never hurt another human being.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Extremists who perform violent acts often do so because of their interpretation of religious texts. There is no right or wrong way to interpret these texts, so implying that extremists do not follow their religion "well" is self-righteous.

Common sense should be applied when reading religious texts.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Common sense, huh? Religious thought is often devoid of that.

*principles

Nice catch

by Anonymous 12 years ago

It's the specifics that make a difference, not the principles. Besides, like stated above, any extreme act of violence is usually committed by an extremist.

because each religion claims it's the last message from God. so it's only natural that there will be disagreements. it has nothing to do with who is ”extreme” and who isn't. disagreeing does not equal hatred, as a Muslim i respect Jews and Christians beliefs even though i disagree with some of them

Different sects of Christianity (and Islam, and Judaism, and almost all other religions) follow the same religion, why is it so hard for them to get along?
