+225 Making fun of vegitarians isn't cool, they're actually trying something and each of them feel good about it. You just sound like an asshole, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

making fun of anyone isn't cool. unless they're you're friends, because that's what friends are for, haha.

Vegetarians*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They're only vegetarians because they hate vegetables. There's nothing noble about that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I make fun of my girlfriend for being a vegitarian and she makes fun of me for eating meat. It's not that big a deal

by Anonymous 13 years ago

A lot of people don't make fun of them, but rather try to correct their misconceptions about meat.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm a vegetarian, but not because it makes me "feel good." I just don't like meat.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Congratulations. You're one of my bigger pet peeves! You're not a vegetarian because you don't like meat, one is a vegetarian because they have a believe against eating meat. If you went to a new friends house for dinner and they served a roast, odds are you would still eat a bit to be polite whereas a vegetarian would not because it goes against their values.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hm, if you don't eat meat you're a vegetarian. ._.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, actually, I don't eat meat at all, and I haven't for 14 years.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But you don't have anything against eating meat other than the taste. Anyone could easily claim to be a vegetarian or vegan because they haven't eaten meat since their last meal.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well that's pointless, I've been a vegetarian for most of my life. I don't need to claim that meat is bad to eat or that we're bad for eating animals to be a vegetarian. That's not what it's about, my vegetarianism is simply that I don't eat meat and never have.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Than it's not vegetarian if it doesn't have a belief backing it whether it be ethical, religious, or pertaining to health.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Vegetarian: 1. a person who does not eat or does not believe in eating meat, fish, fowl, or, in some cases, any food derived from animals, as eggs or cheese, but subsists on vegetables, fruits, nuts, grain, etc. I do not eat meat, fish, or fowl. I am a vegetarian.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There's a difference between a dictionary definition and a real world definition. You may be vegetarian by Merriam, but in the real world you wouldn't be considered so. You would be considered someone who doesn't like meat.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The difference is not between the dictionary and the world, it's your stupidity and the fact that you won't stop being an asshole even though you're wrong.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm being an asshole by giving my opinion whereas you're the one that's reduced to name calling and needling..

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The point where the other person has run out of arguments and turn to needling is the point where I claim victory. Nice talking to you and enjoy your time on this lovely website.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm sorry you pissed me off? You simply refuse to accept that one who doesn't eat meat is a vegetarian. If you want to believe you're correct, go ahead, but I have the right to call you an asshole when you're discounting my lifestyle.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I also don't believe it's a lifestyle if there's no reason behind it. If it were for religious purposes, I'd say that's your lifestyle. If it were to be healthier, I'd say that was a lifestyle. But if it's because you just don't want to, I don't consider that a lifestyle.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But it IS my lifestyle. I chose to live this way, just like you chose to eat meat, assuming you do. You eat meat, but not for religious purposes or with any moral foundation.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually I don't eat meat and it's a lifestyle choice because it has a purpose.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What's your purpose?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

To protest the way money is more important than an animal. I don't have anything against eating animals, just the way their treated before and during slaughter. Slaughter houses try to spend as little money as possible which results in animals being tortured and having to suffer rather than a quick, simple death. Not the most traditional belief, but not a whole lot about me is traditional.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They're*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's cool, and I understand your point. I don't know enough about slaughterhouses and the whole meat packing system to say I agree, but I completely see where you're coming from.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm glad.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

While some vegetarians make fun of people who eat meat and are just as big of assholes,

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're right there too, I guess just anyone making fun of anyone is just asshole-ish. I was just pissed off at people making fun of me when I posted this.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Making fun of people in general isn't that great of an idea (although everybody does it, and vegetarians just as douchy as meat-eaters who do the same). But here's the deal. I know my body needs protein, and meat is one of the most efficient, and delicious ways to get it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Meat is the easiest way to get protein but there are many other ways to get it. Although most of them don't taste good lol.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How many vegitarians does it take to change a lightbulb? None, vegitarians can't change anything =D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've changed many a light bulb.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What if they're crazy PETA members who are goldmines of pure, uninterrupted insanity? Not that all PETA members are crazy/vegetarians and not all vegetarians are crazy/PETA members.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

then you can make fun until they get all psyco and start an angry mob.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm a vegetarian and I don't really get why people make fun of it/get mad, it's not affecting them in any way.
