For safety, the nerve impulses that make you sneeze are stopped from leaving the brain when you're sleeping. I learned that from the Book of Useless Information. :)

Well if you really have to sneeze, you don't really wake up(Most of the time sneezes are stopped, look at the previous comment). If you had really bad allergies, you wouldn't want to wake up every time you sneezed,
