Most polygamists aren't legally married to all of their wives. They get legally married to one then ceremonially married to the others. So legally, they haven't done anything wrong. It is illegal to be married to more than one person at a time. However, I believe there are some areas that are separate from that law for some reason, because of "religious rights" or something along that line.

It's not actually legal. Utah couldn't become a state until they outlawed it. I'm pretty sure twisted_memories is right, it's a mostly ceremonial thing.

twisted_memories is right; it's not an "official", state-approved marriage. It's purely ceremonial. Technically, a polgamist with five wives is actually a married man with four other ladies he sleeps with and his wife is okay with it.

This may sound weird, but I think it should be legal. If everyone is legal age to marry and ok with being married to multiple people... Why not?

Fuck them. Polygamists aren't hurting anyone. Maybe if they have a revolution like the gays, people wouldn't discriminate.

As long as everyone involved is of age and ok with the marriage, people should be able to marry whoever they want to marry. That's my opinion on the matter. If somebody doesn't want a polygamist marriage, then they shouldn't have one. But they shouldn't deny everyone else the right.

I disagree with marriage as it is simply an outdated waste of cash that means nothing and ment very little to start but i agree as long as it is all of age and with consent then people should be allowed to marry who ever and if they like a challenge how ever many. It doesn't hold any real effects asides a big family.
