When you start reading a book, you skip the prologue or forward at the beginning, amirite?

Lol the forward.
And yes, but I always read it after I finish the book. It rarely ever makes sense at the beginning anyway.

Well, that's the point, isn't it? Don't you want to read it so that later on you can make connections? And it even adds to the suspense as you try to figure out what it means in the context of the book. But then again maybe that's just me . . . I'm a bit of a book nerd. :)

And then you can come back and reread it when you've finished the book and be like "OOOOOOOH! Now I get it! I see what they did there!"

If it's a prologue then I read it. If it's a foreword/commentary then I don't.
