+250 my friend and i are having an argument- she thinks you should leave your apples on your kitchen bench, when i think you should leave apples in the fridge because they taste better, and last longer that way. amirite?

I keep 'em on the table, because I like room temperture apples and don't want to wait for it to warm up. I think it's personal preference really

Your friend's apples are healthier. Keeping them in the fridge saps them of some of their nutritional value. I keep mine in the fridge though.

Keeping fruits in the open near each other cause them to spoil faster. Refrigeration slows it down. It's similar to how frozen vegetables from the grocery have more nutrients than "fresh" ones. (it's a common misconception that "fresh" ones are actually more nutritious) The freezing prevents any loss of nutrients at all during the shipping, though it may not taste as good.
