+310 Homeless people should just do something illegal. In prison they'd get food, showers, and a bed, all for free. Better than living on the streets, amirite?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They'd even get a free education >.>

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Well, I know some of them fake sick to get an overnight stay in the hospital.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

and than the prisons would be even more crowded and tax payers would have to pay more money to upkeep it

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Yes but that's taxpayers problems, not homeless people.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I think taxpayers are more important, sorry

by Anonymous 12 years ago

I'm not saying that taxpayers are less important. I'm not an idiot. What I'm saying is that to the homeless, it doesn't really matter that it uses taxpayers money because the homeless don't pay taxes.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

They'd be far less crowded if we didn't keep putting people there for stupid reasons like pot use.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

and there'll be less homeless people on the streets

by Anonymous 12 years ago

it's more of a pride issue..

by Anonymous 12 years ago

...Yeah I'm sure homeless people have tons of pride. You know sleeping in subways and sitting on the ground all day with a cup begging for money seems like you'd get a lot of pride out of

by Anonymous 11 years ago

And then that'd go on their record and they wouldn't get a job easily, leaving them homeless and in jail for life

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Some of them do. Some homeless people prefer being homeless so going to prison is like.. Well, going to prison, unpleasant.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

On particulary rainy, cold, or scorching hot days my dad's police station picks up most of them and lets them stay the night in the jail, it's better than having them act out (for the post's reason) or suffer in the elements.

And dicks up their ass.

My social studies teacher told our class about this homeless guy who would pee on the courthouse so he could go to jail.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Not to mention all the free rape

by Anonymous 12 years ago

And a chance to make new friends in the shower. Not to mention welfare is probably cheaper

O. Henry actually wrote a short story like that. Every year, when the weather would get cold, Soapy, homeless man, would attempt to get arrested because prison was like a paradise/vacation for him.

by Anonymous 12 years ago

Like some other people said, homeless people have already figured this out for themselves. That's the problem with our prisons. [Go on a long rant about our government and why it's bad].
