Isn't that true with everything in life? I mean as a teen, I work everyday, sounds productive right? Well I'm working to get money so I can pay for my car, which I only need to go to work and occasionally do things I want to do...Seriously, we make so much of life meaningless.

That's the point. If none of the fame you earn means a thing, you can't be tempted to conform simply because you'll be popular.

The Internet, especially sites like these, are nothing BUT popularity contests. You post things on here, and the point is either to get fantastic ratings or to go down in infamy. It's a different kind of conformity, but conformity nonetheless.

For some, but can't you think of some person who always has the most interesting things to say. the funniest, the most 'enlightening' or deepest thoughts? But sure, you can find some 'GOTTA GET A RATING!' D-bags too.
