People with braces shouldn't complain. They're going to have great teeth. While people with decent teeth that aren't bad enough will be stuck with decent teeth forever, amirite?

But they still hurt like hell at the time, so I think that allows complaining rights.

i had braces and they fixed my teeth a little but not as much as i would have liked. it fixed the crookedness on my bottom teeth but it still looks like i have a bit of an overbite.

Well excuse me for complaining after having extremely painful and expensive braces and surgery on my teeth. I would much rather have average teeth and no braces.

They do hurt a lot sometimes, and are REALLY annoying, but whenever they're bugging me I just tell myself, "But my teeth will look great in a year or so!" and that makes it somewhat better. :) But they do suck, even if they're good in the long run...

Yeah the pain is something you get used to/goes away, at first its really bad. When I got bottom braces put on for 3 days it felt like a rod was stabbing through my bottom jaw. Eating was horrible. But one thing people dont realize is all the shit that gets caught in your braces, flossing takes way longer. I got them off a few years ago but my teeth are not that perfect.

id rather have a slight over bite and one tilted tooth than straight, in line teeth and gums that bleed every time i brush my teeth, and callouses lining every surface in my mouth.

I think that it's okay to complain while you have braces, because they can hurt like hell, but after you get them off you shouldn't complain about how bad they WERE.

Yes. No, not all the time mainly for like the first week of them and a few days after getting them tightened. And make sure you always have wax on hand .

My teeth used to be pretty good, but now that my wisdom teeth are coming in, they're starting to get crowded. I'm almost relieved, because if I do get braces, I'll have great teeth afterward :)

They don't solve everything though, sometimes they just create problems. I never had a lisp before braces and now I do. And they do hurt like a bitch, especially if you have to get springs. How about we stuff a tightly coiled wire in between these two teeth and let it literally push your jaw apart little by little so there's more room? How about we do it on both sides of two of your teeth so they're putting double the pressure on the same spot so you get dental migraines for the next 2 weeks until it sorts itself out? Not fun, especially because I had already had a ton of orthodontic stuff done, including two surgeries. I know it's boring to hear about, but if I went back and did it all again I'd still complain.

braces themselves arent really that bad because you sort of get used to them after awhile. getting rubber bands SUCK though, & when you have to get them tightened. after you get braces off though, you still should have a right to complain because every night (& sometimes the daytime, if you need it) you still have to wear retainers. sure, you can just take out the retainers if they bug you but then when you put them back in they STILL hurt. plus, braces made my mouth all changed. now my lips are bigger (not complaining, just saying) but i also have a lisp & smile different. plus my teeth are really sensitive now. so yes, even though i now have straight teeth, i hate braces!

I don't complain about braces because they don't hurt me, personally. They're just an annoyance. I complain about people who have naturally perfect, straight teeth. And I complain about people who have never had braces telling me that they're not a big deal.
