Yeah. My 6th grade Social Studies teacher Mr. Fleener told us how this dude tried to get a petition going to end woman's suffrage (just as a social experiment, not really trying to) and a lot of people signed it without even questioning what the word suffrage meant and just assumed it meant something along the lines of suffering.

I had a super feminist teacher once so I decided to do a report on the negative effects of women's suffrage. Believe it or not I only used fact to make the point. I got a C.

A lot of the girls in my freshman English class were appalled when my teacher, who can come off as sexist sometimes, said that women's suffrage was a good thing. It was really pathetic.

PEOPLE WHO VOTED YES: "Suffrage" is the right to vote in elections! Great women faught hard to be treated equal and be able to vote in elections in the early 1900s! Suffrage is a good thing!! We want it!!!
