One time I fell while going to the car, and there was a security camera right near the car....

It's okay, you guys can relax. In a lot of cases there isn't someone watching the cameras 24/7 because they're on backup... at least in retail stores anyway. I used to watch cameras from time to time and it's pretty damn boring unless you know someone's about to shoplift.
