+717 It's kinda going to suck that in a few years, some books (like The Hunger Games for example) that are popular, but not really mainstream, might blow up just like Twilight did. Then all the people that read them originally will have to deal with the fans, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh, god. I love the hunger games. It can't become another twilight!!! :(

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Suzzane Collins= Epic writer.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I can't wait for the 3rd book to come out (:

by Anonymous 13 years ago

me neither! i looove these books ha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

([:): I am stealing from my friend the second she gets it. MWAH HA HA. I love Finnik. He is my favorite. Screw Peeta/Gale. FINNIK!!!!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ah i'd hate that! especially when maximum ride comes out as a movie. Its gonna suckk. =___=

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Tell me about it. Everyone is going to be like "FANG IS MINE!" "IGGY FOREVER!!!" and I will sit there thinking, "Sorry, but I was a fan before Max was even being written. Long before Fang. Long before it was "The Fugitives" and "The Protectors"." It will be saddening to see these people scramble to read all the books. Maximum Ride was kind of my Harry Potter. For a while. Then I read Harry Potter. XD

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Awwww, nooo they're actually doing that??? I thought they decided not to do it or something!!! *shakes fist at sky*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

nigga like twilight hahahahaha nigga a frui nigga a pop tart soft on da outside fruity on da inside hahahaha dayum

by Anonymous 13 years ago

what the hell? pop tarts? stfu dude.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The Hunger Games suck.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Twilight was probably a fluke. Most other semi-popular but unknown books are actually, you know, well-written and have discernible plots.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

omg i was just thinking about max ride. Id be so pissed if that series became a movie. Man...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hate to tell you, but it's going to be.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

the thing about the hunger games is that it doesn't have fan-girl potential. 1. It's actually a good book 2. The characters are more than just hot bodies, they have depth. 3. It's sci-fi, which is different from fantasy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I dare you to say that to my friend. She got rabid when my friend Calley and I told her we preferred Gale (Before I met Finnik). It was sad actually.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but she has to be semi-smart if she liked such a good book

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, as avid readers we keep each other on track. Friends don't let friends read twilight. (Those were dark times... dark, dark times...)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

a) I *really* hope that the Hunger Games books don't become the new Twilight... I don't think I could stand it. b) does anyone know who're being cast as Max and Fang? Because last I heard, they were considering Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson... Please, God, no. PLEASE.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

AAAAHHH WTF NOOOO!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My reaction exactly. I mean, Kristen? As Max? No freaking way.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah! she doesn't look tough or athletic enough. RPatz is just creepy, but in the wrong way to play Fang, you know? And they do not need to take over ANOTHER one of my favorite books. I used to love Twilight but the fancraze and movie has caused me to hate it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

mhm... And there's no way either of them are passionate enough.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Totally. They better not cast them or I might actually refuse to see the movie. But ewwww, I just looked it up and it's directed by Catherine Hardwicke who directed Twilight. We're screwed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OH NOES. WE ARE SCREWED.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Perhaps there is still hope for the hunger games.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Let us hope. And pray. To God. And Allah. And Buddha. And Vishnu and Krishna and Zeus and Jupiter and Athena and every other deity we can list.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Don't forget Morgan Freeman.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And Alan Rickman. And Potato God.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not to mention Hasselhoff.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But Potato God rules over all else.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah. Prettymuch.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, totally. Potato is mother. Potato is father. Potato. Is. God.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Hahah you are so starnge :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Indeed.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Better than being normal.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ILUVPOTATOESTOO.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I really hope that awesome books like he Hunger Games don't become something like Twilight. I was a fan way before the movies came out and now i'm starting to hate twilight

by Anonymous 13 years ago

omg.. This is terrible. I think the best ppl to play them are the ppl who are on the cover of the book. I mean that fits my imagination alot better.. Gosh and i didnt even know there was a movie coming out? Sigh...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lmbo.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Haha, I'm pretty sure there are already fangirls. "OMG u guyzz r u team Peeta or team Galee??"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The hunger games is already being made into a movie...:'(

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah I saw some girls wearing Team Peeta/Gale shirt and then wearing New Moon jackets... That makes me sad. I liked The Hunger Games a lot. But I don't read them one of the books a day like I do with Harry Potter

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(anoatmeal.comlover): THAT WAS ME! Before I got an account.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I have a down with the capital shirt, they sell them at hot topic

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I JUST preordered the next book...it'll be in on the 24th and I can't wait!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Same... there shall be a book awaiting me at the store as soon as it gets in... I can't wait.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm just going to hope they're not sold out by time I go to the store. I'm excited, but then the series will be over...which sucks...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know...maybe she'll do a spinoff or something...although that probably wouldn't compare to the origional

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Maybe from someone else's point of view. I wouldn't mind Peeta narrating, he's a pretty good character on all accounts... Or maybe told from the POV of Prim or Gale, watching as the first books games unfold... But yeah, nothing could compare.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

:O A Maximum Ride movie? I read the 1st book in one day when I was like, 10 xD I always read Pattersons' books in 1 day - 2 days. But... I don't want them to make a movie D: ESPECIALLY if RPats & Kristen Stewart are gonna be in it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I am on a roll, 2 homepages in a day. I actually heard that The Hunger Games is going to be a movie and Vannessa Hudgens might play Katniss. That kinda pisses me off... We can only hope Efron doesn't play Peeta...or else we'll be screwed. Also, I've never read Maximum Ride, is it good?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

WHAT? NOOOOOO!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My reaction as well...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

... But yeah, Maximum Ride is awesome. But, according to recent rumours, Bella and Edweird might be cast as the main characters... (have I said that already?) anyway, it would ruin the movie. I'd probably refuse to see it on principle.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Maybe I'll read them, since Hunger Games is almost over, I'll need a new series.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You should. There's six books out mow, with a seventh one being scheduled for early 2O11. The first one's called The Angel Experiment.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Thanks. I just now made an account after so many successful homepages. So, what's Maximum Ride about? I know it's by Patterson, so it must be good.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

basically, there's this flock of kids with 2% bird DNA who have to save the world. Better than it sounds...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That sounds...interesting. I didn't think the Hunger Games sounded too good until I read it either.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Me either :D so just read TAE. you might love it... you might hate it. Whichever's cool.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I like weird books. Too bad no one know I made this post... On the topic of books, ever read Gracling? (think that's how you spell it)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

YES <3 I loved it, in case you can't tell :) but I think Po should have just kissed Katsa when she was all mad and he was explaining about his grace... it would have made things so much easier.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah but, where's the fun in that?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

true... I guess.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But, yeah. She did kinda go over the top with the flipping out...at least by my standards.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

mhm, slightly? but kissing her might have made her more mad, thus making it harder. I know that's probably how I'd react...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah. So, have you read Gone? It's a weird book on all accounts...which is why I like it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

mm, I don't think so... who's it by?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Michael Grant. My book list would go like HP>Hunger Games>Gone, in terms of series. Gone is really good at some points, but at other's it's just like "Dude, WTF..." There's a series of three.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay then :) I'll look it up next time I go to the library.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay. If you like it, credit me, if you don't forget I mentioned it. Got to go now...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ok - I gotta get to sleep anyway :D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Kay, see ya around here.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ya good job now u just made that book more popular so maybe u shouldve just shut up about it?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Why is everyone debating Peeta/Gale? Katniss chose Gale, but doesn't ever want to get married anyways and that whole things isn't a revelent part of the story. It's about politics and society, it's not a romance. And you all spelled Finnick wrong.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

*relevant. I spelled it wrong sorry. Because I know how you all hate that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They're not really debating, they're just doing a mock up of what it will be like if the "fan-girl types" get a hold of the book. One of the things I like most about the series is that, while it has some instances of (very breif) romance, it isn't the books identity.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

they are making a movie and i hope it stays true to the books. it should because susanne collins is writing the screenplay. so it should be amazing. if it turns into the next twilight, i might just go crazy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I think they should have unknown people in the movies as Peeta and Katniss. But I think Jonathon Groff should play Finnick. I just do.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

... If you can say the name of a book and have most people know what book you mean without looking it up, it's pretty much mainstream already. :|
