+789 "Cross country is totally NOT a sport." You wanna run 8 miles and say that again? Amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not to take sides, but difficulty alone doesn't make something a sport.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Who in the hell wants to run 8 miles? I'm all for working out but that's just ridiculous.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

+1 It would bore me immensely. I'd rather run while playing soccer, tennis, basketball or something =P

by Anonymous 13 years ago

8 miles isn't that bad. Look at a marathon more than 3 times that length. Triathlons are where it is truly insane.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I can run, and I know it's not horrible. It's just who would want to do it? Haha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So true.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I do! I do!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's not a good arguement supporting it. It's hard, we get it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(HopeImrite):As a cross country runner myself, 8 miles is kind of easy... it's all about the pace. You see, our competitions are races... whoever can run 3.1 miles FASTER THAN EVERYBODY ELSE. Isn't baseball, basketball, and football basically who can score more runs/points than anybody else?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There you go, that's a much better arguement then the OP. It's still the worst sport to watch but it's still easily a sport

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i think its cool to watch.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I guess that means calculus is a sport too, cuz it's difficult. *Omgyou'resostupidyoudon'tunderstandcalculus*

by Anonymous 13 years ago

ok then

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've never heard anyone say that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Fuck yeah cross country! 16:51 bitches

by Anonymous 13 years ago

19:42 today fuck you hahaahha

by Anonymous 13 years ago

what distances are we talking about?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

5k

by Anonymous 13 years ago

haha that's not that bad depending on what grade you're in.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

im a sophy so i kind of still got a ways to go

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well that's good. At least you're not one of those seniors who still runs in the back. I ran a 17:50 when i was a sophy ;D

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i'm not in cross country so what's the distance you guys are talking about?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

5k

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Damn. 18:21

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Nebraska's 2010 girls state champion for class C is from my school. She ran a 3.1 mile race in 14:57. She's pretty awesome.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Running is a sport. If people consider curling a sport, running sure as hell counts as a sport. And racewalking. I'm a damn proud racewalker, and people say it's easy. NO. It hurts a lot.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just got 16:48 today! So happy!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Congrats. I'm still stuck on 24:31. (But I'm a girl so it's not gonna get much lower)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My best is a 18:14. I'm a girl.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

if you think track is a sport than cross country most definetly is =) and i love it =)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Just cut my time by a minute 41! Schyeah!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ive never heard anyone say it wasnt a sport ?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

"Swimming is NOT a sport." You wanna swim 5,000 yards within two hours or less-which is much harder than running through air-and say that again? amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

As long as you are racing against other people, then it's a sport. It has to be competitive, or else it's just running.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Running/Racing is probably the oldest sport known to man.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Cross Country is sport trust me!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Running is defintely a sport. It's actually harder than other sports because there's no one else to rely on, just you try to get a faster time and beat people.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

feel the pain thats deff worth it
