+770 You actually love long car drives, because they give you time to think, see some beautiful parts of the country you never would have come across, and no matter what you have to say, your vehicle will listen, amirite?

My car is probably my best friend :) If it could talk though, oh man, XD

Finally, someone else =p Yeah I consider my Cobalt a good friend too. Vehicles do so much for us (Keep us safe, takes us places we could never get too, ect ect). I'm certain, if a sentient processor is ever made, the best application for it is in vehicles.

Indeed, couldn't agree more!

I don't like car drives mostly because i'm a motion-sickness kind of guy.sorry to vote it down, but i home-paged you though.

mmmm. Long car rides are okay as long as I don't have to pee and/or deal with my 3 siblings the whole ride.

The 9 hour drive to Lubbock from the southeast side of Houston BLOWS. Different part of the country? Not really, still in the same state.

That's a shame. Try travelling nine hours in Canada. You'll pass through a desert, plains, mountains, and then wetlands if you take a good route. Explore a bit, be adventurous!

After the first six hours, a 12 hour drive is insanely boring. You can only listen you your iPod and admire the scenery for so long before you want to do other things.

Understandable. Some people are just to ADD to appreciate life. =P In all seriousness, I do get where you're coming from. I'd recommend buying an audiobook, preferably a comedy one (Dennis Lehry's "Why We Suck", Colbert's "I am America and So can you!", ect). That way, you're not just listening to background noise, someone's actually talking to you.

For me, well, my mom she likes to go on trips and leave at like 2am. Which is understandable, less traffic. Now I dont like waking up at 2am but I'm always awake and its kind of like a "me time" and I just talk to the stars (through my thoughts of course) about anything that comes to mind and I dont know I just love it and to me its like the stars are really listening to me and they understand me.
