Maybe it's because you're no longer thinking about how much you need to use the bathroom, so you can think about freaky things on the way back.

my bedroom is connected to my bathroom, so not really, bu when i go get water or something i get scared haha.

for me its the other way around cuz going to the bathroom the backdoor is infront of me but on the way back its behind me which i hate so i get paranoid and look behind me while i run down the hall to my bedroom like awhole five steps and jumo onto my bed
