+760 Its kinda stupid how vegetarians think they can eat fish. How the fuck is fish not meat? amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah if you eat fish you're a pescitarian.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

but fish are still living creatures

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Its ok to eat the because they don't have any feelings.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

False.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No. True. Kurt Cobain said so.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

that doesnt make it true

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yes, yes it does.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

No, Kurt Cobain saying something does not automatically make it true.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You're allowed to have your own opinion. . . even if it is wrong.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Its not wrong, he's not God

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Now that is just blasphemy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol you're crazy

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I apologize for the banter. I have a strong addiction to Cobain.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol I understand

by Anonymous 13 years ago

agreed. Layne Staley Lives is right.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

not all vegetarians :(

by Anonymous 13 years ago

And I definitely don't understand when vegetarians say they eat chicken. -______-

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Plants are living creatures too...there is no way to get out of eating organisms. Plus pescatarianism is a subdivision of vegetarianism...just as a caucasian is still a human.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Plants don't have nerves so they can't feel pain.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They also dont have pain receptors. I hate people who use the arguement that plants are living.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

But they are alive *sigh* it carries out bodily functions like photosynthesis etc. It just 'lives' in a different way.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I realize that, but they dont have feelings, or a brain for that matter.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Plants are living. They are alive. They just don't feel.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know, I just said I realize they are alive. They can't feel, yes, but the bigger difference to all those who try to say they can is how they are treated. Plants are beaten.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

meant to say are not beaten =/

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm vegetarian and I don't eat fish. I don't see why people eat fish and still call themselves vegetarians.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Im vegetarian. I dont eat fish, chicken, or any animal. I dont even eat anything with gelatin in it. Bottom line, if you eat fish you arent a vegetarian.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What's wrong with gelatin?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

apparently, they use pig bones. Who knew?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I heard it was bones from baby horses... :/

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Its a slaughterhouse by-product. Its collagen taken from the animals they kill.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

D=

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i know =(. its in marshmallows, jello, any gummy candy, and random other things.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well I must be allergic to that or something, cuz I get a headache whenever I eat those foods. Who knew?

by Anonymous 12 years ago

i heard it was from cow hooves, or just hooves

by Anonymous 13 years ago

no i think it generally comes from bones

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Fun fact: Vegetarians who eat fish are called pescetarians. There are also different names for vegetarians who just don't eat red meat, poultry, etc.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm aware, but they aren't "vegetarians who dont eat fish" they are just people who dont eat fish. You can't be a vegetarian and eat fish or any other type of poultry or meat. You cant be a pescetarian and a vegetarian at the same time.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Um (maybe wrong, so sorry) I think you read it wrong. It's not "Vegetarians who DON'T eat fish" it's vegetarians that DO eat fish. They are a separate group from vegetarians. Also, how I wrote it was kind of weird, so, sorry 'bout that.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ah I didn't mean to type don't. But they still aren't vegetarians in any way. Yes they are pescetarians, but a vegetarian is someone that doesnt eat any type of flesh, which is what fish are. Which is why they aren't vegetarians that choose to eat fish, they are just people who choose to eat fish but no other meat.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

So, in short, if you ever meet a vegetarian that says, "but I eat fish," hit that bitch/bastard and tell them if that don't know the difference then they are too dumb to be a vegetarian.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Basically, haha. Of course, I live in the middle of cow country so I've never actually met another vegetarian, at least not in person. It's kind of sad really lol.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Vegetarians don't eat fish or chicken. Pescatarians eat fish. Pollotarians eat poultry. Pescapollotarians eat fish and poultry. None of the above are vegetarian.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm a pescatarian- NOT because of animal rights or all of that crap. I am such because I don't like the taste of red meat and poultry. I like the taste of seafood. Not all of us are complete bullshit, thanks.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

its only bullshit if you were to claim to be vegetarian.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

In fourth grade I had an argument with a kid who thought fish wasn't meat. It made me mad.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

i eat meat and i am proud. so HA screw all you guys, you're missing out! just kidding im not that big of a douche

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was gonna say...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

hahaha sorry, i respect vegetarians and vegans, and i would be one but i can't just give up meat. i dont have the will power or the lack of tastebuds

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Same here.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

having fish be the only meat you eat is fine, if you acknowledge that you're a pescitarian and NOT a vegitarian. I don't care about the poor slaughtered cows and I'm certainly not vegitarian but people who do this just piss me off. This one girl I knew actually ate fish, chicken, turkey, and claimed to be vegitarian.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I eat meat. I love it. But I have nothing against vegetarians in general. Just the vegetarians who think they're better than me because they don't eat meat. Also the ones who constantly try to "convert" me. I get it, but please let me be. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm a vegetarian. Technically, an ovo-lacto vegetarian, meaning I'll eat dairy product and eggs. When I first became it my aunt gave me a book and it had all the different "types of vegetarians" in it. There is a subcategory for the people who have to eat chicken in order to, well, live haha, but are still vegetarian.
