+748 All commercials should be as good as the superbowl commercials, that would make tv so much more entertaining, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That would ruin the point of the Superbowl... Commercials are the only reason people watch it...

i watch it for the football :/

You like to watch men tackle each other for a ball?? Sounds gay to me...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

well they're not tackling each other FOR the ball. its to end the play. if they get the ball, cool. if not, play over.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wait... Why would you want to stop playing?

go learn how football works, then come back and we'll talk

And to reply to the 'why would i wanna watch men run around tackling each other' , there is NOTHING wrong with nice looking guys running around in tight pants.

As someone who does advertising, as cool as it would be to have Superbowl commercials all the time, it's unrealistic. Advertising is often used to relay a specific message as supposed to merely just being memorable. And then, of course, there's the factor that clients are not going to pay for the production of a Superbowl-like commercial every year.

My point was, the commercials are always funnier. It doesn't cost more money to think of a funnier thing to do for a commercial.

Well, that goes back to my first point. Advertising is often used to relay a specific message rather than merely entertain. Besides, not every type of product can make a really funny commercial. Humour doesn't sit well with high-end cars because it's not funny, it's luxury. Another example includes charities - especially ones involved in a serious issue like cancer. Either way, my point is its unrealistic to expect every commercial to be hilarious so just enjoy the ones that are. :) Like Old Spice!
