+483 Africa is a continent, not a country! Get it right dammit.. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, Africa went and confused us by naming one of their countries South Africa. And when traveling people say 'I'm going to Africa' or 'I'm from Africa' so it's easy to forget. I even have friends in various countrieds there, and I sometimes call Africa a country by mistake. :/

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Africa didn't decide the name of South Africa, South Africa decided the name of South Africa. And it's pathetic that you sometimes call Africa a country "by mistake".

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, it's easy really, you just have to not be a stuck up prick. ^___^

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That is completely unrelated to my comment and I don't care if you insult me; I'm anonymous.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

OMG U ANONYMOUS THAT MATTERS. Dude, yeah it does, I'm admiting I can make a mistake, where as you are looking down on me because I can tell people I slip up every now and then....

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, making a mistake like confusing "their" and "there" is still acceptable, but thinking Africa is a country? No.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What makes their and there acceptable? Mistakes are mistakes ffs.. it's not like it's some sort of fatal mistake. Way to over react man...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Actually it is fatal! You now have a case of the FATALITIES!!! FINISH HIM!!!!

(Different Anonymous): I love you Different Anonymous.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Great, you can get it confused, that's annoying, but tollerable. The fact that you then go and deny the fact that Africa is a continent, not a country is totally unacceptable.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I never denied it. I said it's a common, and easy mistake to make. o__O

by Anonymous 13 years ago

My cousins family and I had a really intense argument about this, they were so convinced it was a country.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's pathetic.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Mmm. Well, Australia is both so.. meh. I'm sure they are use to it. :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

south america is a continent and i dont go around calling it a country... im from south africa and no, im not black. also, i dont ride a lion to school, i ride a CAR. i hate how ignorant some people are :/

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I once managed to convince someone that i rode to school on a lion and i also have a pet elephant. She believed me.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Doods I'm from Ethiopia and people ask me that everyday! Like yeah I grabbed a ferocious lion by the neck, tamed him and then rode him all the way to school. As a matter of fact I do it everyday, it has now become a hobby!! Although that would be awesome, I would never try it, I mean how easy do they think riding a lion is???

by Anonymous 13 years ago

(Different Anonymous): Ikr!!!! Riding a lion is both hard and stupid.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

lol steriotypes are great, aren't they? People think we go around riding kangeroos (cause you know, it wouldn't kill me or anything) and have pet koalas, which they think are bears (have you seen the nails on them?) and drink beer and vegimite (we have alcohol age limits too..) and say "G'day mate" every three seconds ( I hate that sentence) They also will believe we tackle crocodiles, and NZ is connected to Australia. Oh, the sadness of it all.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

People will believe almost anything you tell them

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Sadly, thats a failure in the nature of the human race. (Plus, when ignorant, they can make up their own make-beleive stories.)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

How the hell do you disagree?? it's a fact!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's probably why they disagree with it, because it's a fact and not an opinion

by Anonymous 13 years ago

wow, are you americans that stupid?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

We're looking at you, Sarah Palin
