Time to explain a joke and totally ruin it: A gay man would not lie with a woman. So the verse "Man shall not lay with man as he lay with woman" would be irrelevant to gay men because they do not lie with women in a particular way. Also, you technically cannot lie with a man as you would a woman because men do not have vaginas and you usually have to do them from behind.

God doesn't have a problem with gay people. He has a problem with wasting seed. So technically, masturbation, birth control, and having sex for pleasure, not to make a child is a sin, because that wastes seed. It doesn't say you're not allowed to be gay, we were all created in his image, he meant for people to be gay. People try to interpret the bible themselves, it turns out bad. For example, some people think "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes" means it's ok to hit your children with a rod, but rod actually just means discipline, not a literal rod. The bible was not meant to be taken literally, it meant to show teach moral. A man laying with a man like he would a woman is wasting potential life in God's eyes. A man feeling emotions for a man isn't a sin.

I think what it's actually saying is that if you're heterosexual, you shouldn't do other men for pleasure.
