+606 Just because you have a different religion doesn't mean you can't listen to bands who have Christian influences (such as Flyleaf) because every person has a different way to interpret a song. amirite?

I'm Christian but that doesn't mean I'm gonna' pretend Creed is a good band.

if you dont think about it that way, flyleaf dosnt sound christian that much...

exactly, I'm agnostic atheist and I love a lot of christian bands. flyleaf, skillet, swtichfoot (i think thats a christian band) and i can interpret them in any way i want. i do sometimes listen to Hillsong United, and while i dont care much for the message, which they usually sing directly about god or christianity, i still like em, becasue as a band, they have a lot of talent musically.

I'm atheist and a lot of the musicians I listen to are people who are very religious, and in some cases sing about god and spiritualism. George Harrison is an excellent example in my case

I know tons of people who love Carrie Underwood and are atheists. But, if you really look at a lot of Carrie's song.. you see that she often mentions God. Jesus Take The Wheel for example? That's just one random artist off the top of my head, but I was just trying to show an example.. haha. I completely agree with this post.

WHITECHAPEL

Yup. Plus, songs can get by on simple musical merit. The meaning can be a big thing, but not EVERYTHING. I've never been ultra religious, but I'm still into creed, flyleaf, switchfoot, and kutless. I don't see them as christian bands really, just as bands.

Agnostic Relient K fan here. Of course, the challenge is figuring out whether they're talking about God or not.
