Crying is one of the easiest ways for your body to get rid of built up stress hormones. So crying does make you feel better =D

It's because crying releases endorphins, so when you get really sad your body notices that it needs to cheer you up, so crying is really just a way to make you happy.

I actually feel a lot better after I cry in a stressful situation. Every time I get upset, which is not often, I cry my eyes out. Then I feel significantly better. There's nothing wrong with emotions!

And sometimes you just can't help it.
