It's stupid that people still believe what is shown on EVERY news channel.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

its stupid people even care about it, amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's stupid that people even care what's on Fox News if they hate it so much.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because when people start believing those lies it affects society as a whole.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

What makes you so sure Fox is lying?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Coming up next: ARE BANANAS A TERRORIST PLOT? They look like crecents, and the crecent is a MUSLIM symbol. They also come from hot places. You know who else lives in hot places? MUSLIMS!!11!!!!111!!!11! *shows a heavily edited soundbite of Obama saying how he likes bananas and muslims* IS BARACK OBAMA PART OF THIS TERRORIST BANANA PLOT THAT WE JUST MADE UP? FIND OUT AFTER WE SHOW YOU SOME ANGRY WHITE PEOPLE SAYING SEMI-RACIST THINGS ABOUT HISPANIC IMMIGRANTS.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I've never seen that one. If you could give me a link, I'd love to watch it. Otherwise, what you just said was irrelevant.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Do you have any idea how many times Fox News has gotten in trouble for telling lies?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

May we have a real example please?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Okay: A couple of months ago, in the middle of their bullshit propaganda campaign aganinst the "ground zero mosque" (which is neither at ground zero nor a mosque), Fox did a segment about how one of it's main sponsors, Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, was a dangerous terrorist sympathiser. They omitted the fact that he is also the second biggest shareholder of the company that owns Fox News.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Ok, now you have a valid argument. I wouldn't say that it is a bullshit propaganda campaign against the ground zero mosque or "Muslim Community Center" if you prefer, which is basically a mosque seeing as a the idea of a mosque is for community with other Muslims to worship together. Most Americans don't want it there, and that is just the view that they are broadcasting because it is the view of most Americans. It's a couple blocks away, but that is basically at ground zero. There would be no problem if a major terrorist assault by Muslims on America hadn't occurred there. Again, I'm not saying that every Muslim is a terrorist. I know they were radicals. The main point was that most Americans don't want the community center so that should be respected. News Corporation is HUGE though and owns much more than FOX News. Is it really relevant that he is the second largest shareholder? He's just interested in profit in that sense.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I like you and don't want to argue, so I'll just say my points and we'll probably just agree to disagree. Most Americans don't want it there because they are misinformed because of Fox and other conservative news media. Fox didn't respond to it, they created it. Park 51 is 13 stories high and is sort of like a YMCA/community center/Museum. It has a swimming pool and a movie theater and Islamic exhibit type things. It has ONE MULTI-RELIGIOUS prayer room in the whole building. Calling that a Mosque is like saying that a chapel in a hospital is a church. As for the distance from GZ, you have to keep in mind that two blocks in New York City is A LOT. There are also multiple bars, multiple strip clubs, a sex toy shop, and an off-track gambling den within two blocks of GZ. The area around it obviously isn't very sacred and no one was complaining about these establishments being so close. People also never complained about the Mosque that is INSIDE the Pentagon...

by Anonymous 13 years ago

...which was also attacke on 9/11. Park 51 is also called the Cordoba Center because Cordoba, Spain, used to be a paradise where Christians, Muslims, and Jews lived together peacefully. It is not a "place for Muslims to worship together", it's a place for everyone that only has one room to pray in along with dozens of other things. Those are my points, I'm out.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well, I only partially disagree with you. It would be a great idea to invoke peace among America and the Muslim world, but as shown, it has only become controversial. Yes, incited by FOX News, but it would still be controversial nonetheless without their help. But the space in it is for Muslims to worship together. Even if it is designed for multi-religious activities, that would never work out because we are too different culturally today.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

good argument. fantastic. i dont want asians in times square and im gonna say the majority agrees. should we ban them? they should respect our opinion so probs. thats you're argument. seriously?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Wow, that's completely irrelevant. Maybe I don't want HannahAbbot talking to me, a.k.a. the lame Harry Potter character than nobody cares about. Since I don't want you talking to me, maybe you should be placed in prison according to your exaggerated criticism.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Referencing another post on this website, whose author I do not know, but will quote: If it is disrespectful to build a Mosque near ground zero because the terrorists were Muslims, then it is just as improper to build a boy scout building because the terrorists were male.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That makes sense because they are two categories that you are comparing only. But logically, we all know that argument doesn't make any sense. The fact that they were male was not why they acted on America, the fact that they were Muslim radicals is why. I honestly don't know how I feel about it. I know of course that they were radicals, and true Muslims aren't terrorists. If you are going to take up my time, at least give me a plausible argument.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You just said that Muslims are not terrorists. What then is your issue with the mosque?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I also just said that I am indecisive about my feelings toward the mosque. They have just as much right to their worship as anyone else, but it's a little insensitive since there is already so much Muslim resentment. It just stirs up controversy.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The mosque would get rid of Muslim resentment by showing the people what Isalm is really about, which is peace, like every other religion.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Well that may have been the original intention, but that isn't what has happened.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because FOX news has spread lies about it

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They also omitted the fact that he was involved with aiding victims of the 9/11 attacks.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They don't broadcast lies. They deliver the same news and MORE that other news stations don't tell you from a conservative standpoint. Don't even bother replying to this with a snide retort because I'm too tired to answer.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That is like saying they don't broadcast lies they just twist the truth.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Every news channel twists the news a bit, no matter what side of the political spectrum it's on.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

They do broadcast lies. They just tell you that they always tell the truth.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I know their lying because it's been proven time after time. And if you've watched Fox news you'll know that they don't just twist the truth a bit. They twirit it so much that it loses it's meaning altogether.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Example?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's a double standard to criticize one news station for having a conservative slant but not another that has a liberal slant.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Fox News is not a conservative slant. They straight-up lie.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

There's a difference between a conservative slant and lies.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I'm not saying Fox doesn't lie. I was responding to people above me who were talking about Fox's conservative slant.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The reason Fox News is getting so much crap is because the current American generation is liberal, and Fox News is more conservative. That's like if most of Americans were conservative, they'd call MSNBC a bunch of liars. Honestly, the media is fucked up, no matter the channel.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not all media is fucked up, but most of it is Neither Fox News nor MSNBC are good things, they are both too one-sided Stewart and Colbert all the way- they make fun of both sides

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I gotta agree with you on that :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Did you watch the rally today? Everything Stewart said at the end was amazing.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I was only able to see a very short part of it actually, just enough to see Love Train performed :C I'll try to see if they show it again :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

meh..BBC ftw.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

y

by Anonymous 13 years ago

The funny thing is, most of the people voting YYA have probably never watched Fox News, or at least not watched a whole segment. Fox definitely does have a conservative slant, but it's not as extreme as everyone makes it out to be, which you would all know if you actually watched it just once. CNN and MSNBC (the latter especially) have a liberal slant, yet rarely does anyone ever hate on them. Weird.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

rush limbaugh called a woman a slut for wanting birth control. How much more extreme does fox news need to get?

by Anonymous 11 years ago

I know, the Onion is so much more reliable. :c

by Anonymous 13 years ago

LittleMexico is exactly right. They're just hated on because mostly every other news station is broadcasted with an extreme liberal slant and Fox has a conservative standpoint.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Lol when they made fun of fox news on family guy, that was great

by Anonymous 13 years ago

It's amusing that anyone believes MSNBC, I mean really, Obama didn't make the economy worse? Right, I'm sure that the deficit magically went from 1 trillion to 10 for no reason.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

@728052 (RomanPwnage): Have you no shame? It's disgusting that you can make a completley incorrect comment like that in a place where other people can see it and possibly be influenced by it. The economy crashed in 2008, several months before he took office. As you can see here, http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_3bGnk...sses-graph.png, the peak job loss month was Jan '09, which was the month that he took office in. After that, his policies started to take effect and fewer and fewer jobs were lost. Oh, hey look! I have another graph that backs up what I say! http://www.thesoapboxroadshow.c...-june-2010.gif Wow! I can't beleive it, but you were wrong! The defecit didn't go to 10 trillion dollars! It only went up slightly, because of lost tax revanue because of the recession. If you don't know what you're talking about, STFU.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Because someone's blog is reliable *sarcasm*, and fewer jobs were lost?!?! WTF? So that's why unemployment continues to rise at unbelievable rates? You make so much sense! Get your facts straight! http://www.usdebtclock.org/ look that up! I did get my facts wrong, now it's 13 trillion. so please FACTS or GTFO!

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Holy shit you're an idiot. There's a difference between the FEDERAL defecit (the one run by the government that's been at around 1.5 trillion since 2005ish) and the NATIONAL defecit, which is the 13 trillion one you're talking about. HUR DUR DUR. You also don't seem to understand subtraction. You take the number to jobs that would have been lost and subtract the number of jobs that were actually lost. Accordig to economists across the board, there would be 8.5 million MORE people unemployed without the stimulus, bailout, and lowering of interest rates. So yes, jobs were still lost, but not nearly as many as there could have been. Now that we've gone over subtraction, do you want to try to learn shapes?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

You can't be sure what would have happened without Obama's failure of a stimulus package. I'm not arguing with a sarcastic deuche, I have a life and not enough time to explain to you the way the economy works, maybe if YOU had a major in political economics you would understand. But unfortunately not everyone can be as intelligent as me :(

by Anonymous 13 years ago

If YOU had a major in political economics you'd understand the difference between the federal and national defecit. That's a very basic thing. And when 99% of economists say something, it's likely to be correct or at least close to it. You've clearly demonstrated that you're NOT intelligent with your last few comments, but I'll recap to make sure it gets through your thick skull: A. You thought that Obama made the economy worse when anyone who wants to major in political economics should know that the economy crashed way before he took office and started to improve as soon as his policies took effect B. You don't seem to understand that hypothetical scenarios about what would have happened are a part of every peice of legislation C. You didn't know the difference between the federal and national defecit, which was especially idiotic because you were confident enough in your knowledge to make a complte ass out of yourself.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Oh, and 9/11 was an inside job, don't forget that, MSNBC was dead on with that theory. ^^^sarcasm

by Anonymous 13 years ago

That's why I read the Christian Science Monitor. It's the least biased network out there.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I watch fox news...and they don't even twist the truth, really. Its just a news story, then after that the anchor just gives his opinion on it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

All fucking news are bias, and politics are fucking retarted, Stop arguing and get over it.

by Anonymous 13 years ago
