What would they call orange juice if it were blue? It's still from an orange, amirite?

What would they call MLIA if it weren't average anymore? It's still dumb, amirite?

The color orange was named after the fruit, if the fruit was what we know to be blue, than the color orange as we all know it would be called something completely different, and the juice would be called orange juice regardless of the color, because orange would not be a color.

Whoa.

lol if the juice was blue then the fruit itself would've already been blue, and it wouldnt be called an orange
by Anonymous13 years ago
not necessarily, many fruit produce juices of different colours, tomato juice, some types of grape, i'm not sure but i think blue berries as well. the fruit juice you buy in the stores is coloured artificially (although it can still contain all natural ingredients)

still orange juice isnt named for its colour obv, because then what's apple juice and grapefruit juice and tomato juice? has there been any juice at all named after a colour?
by Anonymous13 years ago
i'm just saying that an orange fruit could theoretically produce blue juice, and it would be strange to call a blue juice orange juice
by Anonymous13 years ago
who thinks of the colour when saying orange juice? i mean, people dont usually even describe drinks by their colour, when i say orange juice i only think of "juice of oranges" and even if it was blue id probably still think that
by Anonymous13 years ago
perhaps but i think of a large glass of orange (orange coloured as well) juice had orange juice been blue it could be a stranger world to live in

Tomato juice looks exactly the same as tomatoes...
Grape juice comes from concord grapes, which are deep purple.
Blueberry juice is blue.
If orange juice wasn't orange, it wouldn't be called an orange.

try making your own tomato juice it isn't red they add colour to it, and if the outside of the orange remained orange it may still be called 'orange'

mom can i have some blue juice for breakfast?
by Anonymous13 years ago
If it's blue, you probably shouldn't drink it. That might be a good clue to throw it away

Blorange juice. Bluerange juice. Choose one. Problem solved.

If the colour orange came from the fruit, and said "orange" as we know it, was a different colour. There would be no orange, or orange juice. It would be called what ever the person who found what we know as orange.

If the colour orange came from the fruit. And what we know as an orange, was a different colour. Then there would be no orange, or orange juice. What we know as orange would just be called what ever the person who discovered it; called it. Now if oranges as we know them began to change colour, that would be a different story.
