+70 If the majority of your friends are the same race, then you're missing out, amirite?

It's good to be exposed to diversity, but why are friends of the same race not as good as those that aren't? If we're all created equal, then there shouldn't be a difference; friends are friends.

Well put anon, well put.

I don't think so. Some people aren't in situations in which they could have a diverse group of friends. But I do hang out with a wide range of people. One of my best friends is a Mexican girl and the other is a gay white guy. I love them to death.

In my whole lifetime, I've only had 2 white friends, and that was back in 2nd and 3rd grade. That doesn't mean I don't love the friends I have now or that I'm "missing out."

Look a Mexican! Don't have one of those in my friend group yet...."Hi!"

I don't think being friends with a Korean/Aborigine/German or whatever will improve my life any more than being friends with anyone else.

Judge a person on their character, not the color of their skin.
