In movies, the Texan cop always pronounces it ''vee-hickle'', amirite?

Maybe be cause that's how it's spelled? Ve-hi-cle. Not veal-li-cle like everyone pronounces it.

i've never heard of anyone pronouncing it that way. everyone i know says VEE-ickle

Welcome to the South.

Well dears, obviously you are not from the south. Here in the south, that is the way everyone pronounces it. It would be weird if the texan cops didn't say it that way.

That's how I've said it all my life and I'm from the South. Didn't know it was out of the norm.

Southern people: the rest of the world pronounces it sort of like veer-cle. And I wasn't trying to offend anyone. I'm just saying that it's kinda weird to people who don't pronounce it that way, especially when the other people in the movie don't.

This reminds me of this one time in driver's ed when our teacher (he's from Ohio) pronounced the word "tires" like "tarrrrrs". One of the kids in the class thought he called us tards.
