I dunno, my mom's a chef and she usually just made us like, fishsticks and fries.

My friends dad is a chef and since he cooks all day he hates to come home and cook. He usually tells his son "I'm not cooking; make yourself a sandwich" Consider yourself lucky haha.

If you had to spend about 6 hours a day constantly cooking meal after meal, what's the last thing you'd want to do when you got home?

Why would they become a chef if they don't have a passion for cooking?

If you have to do something for a living you'll get sick of it, no matter how much you love it before you started.

I disagree. Of course there will be days when you just don't want to work, but if you don't generally love waking up to go to your career everyday, you've got two options: find a new career or learn to be happy with what you've got.

Sorry, I'm not sure I said my thing right, I meant like, even if you love your job, after doing the same thing over and over for several hours, you want to come home to take a break from doing it.

The worlds fattest woman is marrying a chef.. I see what her motivation is.

Long hours, terrible pay, rising suicide rates... But none of that matters if you can force them to cook for you all the time right?

I'm an apprentice chef, one year away from being qualified. Yes i do work long hours (60-80 hour weeks) and yes the pay is crap but i can honestly say that i wouldn't change anything. I mean how often do you get compliments for doing something you love? Oh and my room mate would totally agree with this post
