+500 "HAHAHA, YOU DON'T GET AN ALLOWANCE? THAT SUCKS FOR YOU!" No, it doesn't suck. My parents buy me stuff I want and I don't have to spend a penny on my things. amirite?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Yeah thats gonna suck later in life when you actually have to know how to manage money, and people don't buy you things.

I'm at an age where that's acceptable, but my parents have told me straight up when I turn 16, I need to get a job and start being self sustaining. But I have a couple hundred stored up so I CAN buy myself things that they won't.

That just means you're spoiled and dependent.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Not really.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't get an allowance and my parents don't buy me anything.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

same here :)

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Same! And im not allowed to get a steady job, either

Fucking spoiled bitches.

It's not being spoiled.. sure they buy clothes, CDs etc, but only once in awhile. Plus we can't buy big things like camreas and iPods, and only get them for like Christmas and stuff.. there are plusses and minuses. And believe me, I've learned how to control money.

To someone that does get those things from their parents (and knows how to spell correctly), yes. That is spoiled.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

Depends on the person, I suppose. And have you ever heard of a typo? Yeah, I'm pretty sure everyone makes those.

by Anonymous 13 years ago

3 times in one post?

by Anonymous 13 years ago

nah its more like "i never got money from my parents and they only buy me the most basic things to survive then call me a brat when other people buy me things for my birthday or christmas that they don't have themselves"

by Anonymous 13 years ago

I don't get an allowance, but I have chores, I do well in school, and I participate in a sport and several clubs. My parents buy me stuff I need. And, I can't drive yet and my parents and older sister are always busy, so they can't drive me to a job. But I'm very hesitant to spend money, so I'm not concerned about the whole money-management thing.

I don't get an allowance, but I help my parents out whenever they need me. I watch my sister, clean, etc. for free, and in return they'll buy me stuff when I want it, as long as it's not insanely expensive, and they'll give me money if I ask. I usually end up holding onto that money for awhile, as well.
