You stole my idea! lol But I'm gonna print CD covers and album covers on mine and pretend I bought them thanks to my expensive printer. ;)

Print A cover for the front and the track list on the back then insert them in the case. They will love you for it, even though you can't print on the disc itself... its the thought that counts.

I do those sometimes. I include songs that are relevant to me and the other person. Like, I could put "We are family" because the person I'm giving the CD to is part of my family. I could put in that Alicia Keys/Jay-z song because we once had a terrific trip to New York City, etc. It's a good idea to put the reason why you chose the songs in the track list.
